In this article, we are searching for the history of the street names of the Brgy. Polo. Historiano de Valenzuela conducted an interview for some residence for us to know the story behind the names of the street.

Angelo Prudencio has been working
abroad as US army corps of Engineer Specialist in documentation. He was there
for almost 16yrs at the year of 1996 after Golf War. And now he is currently
working as Brgy. Secretary of the Polo and 18yrs in service. Mr. Prudencio was
a non partician and he had been in service for almost 4 capt. in the barangay.

Position: President of the Senior Citizen
Facilitator of the Barangay Polo, Member of Lupon
Mrs. Francisca Antenia has been
living at barangay Polo at 78 years she was elected as the president of the
Senior Citizen since this organization built. Aside being a president she was
also a Lupon tagapamayapa and a Facilitator in their barangay. Mrs. Antenia was
still in her service because no one wants to replace her and she already proven
herself as an effective leader in the Barangay Polo.
When I interview Mr. Prudencio about the street names of their barangay he stated the G. Feliciano St. where the Pamilihang Bayan ng Polo located, F. Sebastian St. where F. Sebastian was the first chief of police of the valenzuela city. F. Rivera St. which is F. Rivera means Fortunato Rivera who was a deputy of bulacan G. I. Guansing St. means Inoc Guansing who was the barangay mayor of valenzuela. E. Clemenia Alley which means Encracio who was Manila Congressman.
And he
also said that there are 16 cameras in their barangay which place in every
street Mr. Prudencio gave as a copy of their map of their barangay and the
historical of the Polo.
Noeme Gallenero and Wendie Pacia the interviewer of Mrs. Francisca Antenia about the history behind the street of Inoc Guansing she said that Inoc Guansing is an old person who lived in Polo. It is the first house in Polo that is located near the barangay hall of Polo. The name Guansing became popular thats why it become one of the street names of Polo, and also beacame the first chairman of the barangay Polo. Jenny Pascual was a captain and who gave Guansing as a name of the street. During her termed, she had a project which is the Arc of the Polo that is found in front and back of the barangay. Jenny Pascual now was in Hawaii living with her family
Mrs.
Antenia also a member of Senior Citezen Barangay Chapter of
Polo, an organization for the senior citizen. There are 91 members in
their oraganization and she is the president since 1995 , and 18 years old in
service. As a president of the organization. She is voluntarily sweeping the
road without any payment, she only receive her allowance.
